PROJECTS
01
VFX IMMERSIVE STUDENT EXPERIENCE

Role: Project Manager + Director
Year: 2023
Description: VFX Acting is a performance art course that offers the students an immersive experience in a green screen space with real-time rendering of their performance.
I am responsible for designing the experience for the students and coordinating the virtual production shoots every 2 months.
The virtual production elements actually remove the need for post-production and have saved Acting Department upwards of 800 dollars per term, while offering the 3D Animation students a space to practice their skills.
I work closely with our 3D animation department, I write the scripts, and as director/instructor I make sure the set works efficiently.

Performance Capture

Role: Project Manager and Director
Year: 2022
Description: The development of a Performance Capture course for Vancouver FIlm School was a 2 year process. I was responsible for supporting research, sourcing gear, and justifying it's investment to our financial team.
As Project Manager I was also in charge of making sure that our course was rolled out on time and were approved by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB).
I designed the Adobe Premiere template used to edit the demos for students and designed the post-production workflow. I onboard editors and camera operators that join the shoot each term. In the development of these templates I was able to leverage my experience as a motion graphics designer and editor.
The project also entailed researching, and implementing Noitom's Perception Neuron Motion Capture PN3 Kit. This involves evaluating the magnetic interference of the space where we would be carrying out lessons, calibrating the equipment, placing the sensors, and linking them to the workstation.
For the last 3 rounds I have been in charge of directing student performances at Beyond Capture Studios in a way that will serve animators in the industry.

LMS Management

Role: LMS Management for Local Security
Year: 2022
Description: Local Security is a video surveillance company that has developed ai software to detect and categorize threats instantly.
Human integration allow these threats to be triaged and dispositioned as needed.
I supported the development of a self-paced online learning platform for Local Security that was hosted on Docebo. The courses trained their operators and integrators. This process required me to customize CSS and HTML code in order to align the graphics and website to Local Security's brand identity.
I also designed certifications, icons, and edited training videos. Some of these videos required basic motion graphics, or blurring of elements in order to protect customer information.

TV Production

Producer and Director
Year: 2011
Description: The show is hosted by three beings called "Davites", princesses from a far away galaxy sent to earth by the spirit of the Queen Aurax.
On Earth they live in a hidden magical forest called "Ondivedu". In each episode, children from planet Earth travel to Ondivedu to play, learn and recover Rainbow Prisms that will someday help bring the lost galaxy of "Cripón" back to life.
The show taught children social skills, music, art, how to handle strong emotions, and the importance of protecting the environment.
It was supported by Costa Rica's Ministry of Environment and our National Institute for Children.
The show had over 50 episodes. All studio scenes were shot in 3 weeks, which speaks on my ability as a producer to efficiently coordinate the development of a complex product involving professionals from different disciplines.
The program required the production of music, animations, wardrobe, and games.
